A patient undergoing Philips Zoom in-chair teeth whitening at Reneu Smiles
Overview

What is professional whitening?

Professional whitening uses clinically-proven, dentist-supervised peroxide gels to break down stain molecules deep within the enamel and dentine, something no over-the-counter strip can safely match. We first assess your gums, existing fillings and starting shade, treating any decay or gum disease beforehand.

Two options suit most people: fast in-chair whitening with Philips Zoom for noticeable results in about an hour, or custom take-home trays worn 45 to 60 minutes a day over one to two weeks. Many patients combine both, and because a dentist supervises throughout, we protect your gums and manage any sensitivity.

Why patients love it

The benefits

Visibly brighter

Most patients lighten by several shades, lifting stains from coffee, tea, wine and ageing.
