Good candidates have enough remaining tooth structure, healthy supporting gums and no vertical root fracture. Where the crack runs through the root or there is very poor bone support, removal with an implant, bridge or denture may be wiser. When it’s suitable, saving the tooth preserves your natural bite and often avoids costlier replacement.
